Is NPAR=1 necessary for LOPTICS?

Problems running VASP: crashes, internal errors, "wrong" results.

Is NPAR=1 necessary for LOPTICS?

#1 Post by hachteja » Tue Sep 17, 2013 11:35 pm

This is probably a beginner level question.

However I've gotten some strange results for the dynamic dielectric function at low energies for different NPARs.

Also, in general, when is using NPAR (and KPAR) a bad idea.
