What does NMAG stand for?

#1 Post by brock » Thu Feb 21, 2013 12:34 am

Dear all,

following the manual:
http://cms.mpi.univie.ac.at/vasp/vasp/NBANDS_tag.html

the number of bands is given by:

NBANDS = NELECT/2 + NIONS/2 (non-spinpolarized)
= 0.6*NELECT + NMAG (spin-polarized)

What does NMAG stand for?

Best,
Brock
