Total memory used by the VASP calculation

#1 Post by deepashri » Thu Feb 27, 2014 10:33 am

Dear users,

I would like to know, whether VASP writes the amount of memory used for any calculation in any file. Is there any indirect way of estimating it? Also, what is the meaning of "Maximum memory used" or "Average memory used" that is written at the end of the OUTCAR files?

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

rather look at the lines
total amount of memory used by VASP on root node
written in OUTCAR
for an upper limit of the memory used on one node.
