pmii_daemon(SIGCHLD) Error

Hi,
I am running VASP on a Cray XT5. I have no problems compiling the code, but when I try to run a simple test system, I get the following output file:
Warning: no access to tty (Bad file descriptor).
Thus no job control in this shell.
running on 8 nodes
distr: one band on 1 nodes, 8 groups
vasp.4.6.25 17Sep03 complex
POSCAR found : 3 types and 53 ions
LDA part: xc-table for Pade appr. of Perdew
POSCAR, INCAR and KPOINTS ok, starting setup
FFT: planning ... 1
reading WAVECAR
entering main loop

_pmii_daemon(SIGCHLD): PE 3 exit signal Segmentation fault

_pmii_daemon(SIGCHLD): PE 7 exit signal Segmentation fault
When I am in the directory containing the vasp executable and I type
grep pmii *
I get:
Binary file vasp matches
Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem?
