reconstruction

#1 Post by apple » Tue Aug 14, 2012 5:34 pm

hi,
can someone tell me how to construct a sqrt(2) x sqrt(2) R45 degrees reconstruction of Cu (100)? Do I have to rescale the lattice parameter a by sqrt(2)? What about the R45? I really don't know how to read the notation.
Thanks.
